Terms and Conditions

North Star Packers and Movers

 

1. Booking and Confirmation

  • All service bookings must be confirmed in advance via call, website, or in writing.

  • A booking is considered valid only after receiving an official confirmation from our team.

  • Any change or rescheduling must be communicated at least 24 hours prior to the moving date.


2. Pricing and Payment

  • Prices are quoted based on the type and volume of goods, distance, labor required, and additional services.

  • All charges must be paid in full as per the agreed amount before or on the day of the move.

  • Additional charges may apply for delays caused by the customer, last-minute additions, or extra manpower.

  • GST and other applicable government taxes will be charged extra where applicable.


3. Packing and Handling

  • We use high-quality packing materials, but the customer must inform us in advance about any fragile, valuable, or high-risk items.

  • North Star Packers and Movers will not be liable for damage caused due to improper disclosure of goods or concealed items.

  • Special handling items (such as antiques, glassware, or electronics) must be declared in advance for appropriate care.


4. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers are expected to be present or appoint a representative during packing, loading, and delivery.

  • Valuable items such as jewelry, important documents, cash, or personal identification must be handled by the customer.

  • The customer must ensure proper access to both pickup and delivery locations, including elevator access if applicable.


5. Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances

  • We strive to adhere to scheduled delivery times, but North Star Packers and Movers will not be liable for delays due to weather conditions, road closures, strikes, or unforeseen vehicle issues.

  • In case of unavoidable delays, the customer will be informed promptly.


6. Insurance and Liability

  • We strongly recommend opting for transit insurance to protect against accidental loss or damage.

  • Our liability is limited to the value declared at the time of booking, and claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

  • Without insurance, North Star Packers and Movers is not liable for natural disasters, fire, theft, or unforeseen accidents during transit.


7. Storage Terms

  • Storage services, if availed, are subject to separate charges and availability.

  • The customer must clearly mention the duration and type of storage needed.

  • Goods stored in our warehouses are subject to inspection and must not include perishable or illegal items.


8. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made 24 hours before the scheduled move will be eligible for a partial refund, excluding any non-refundable booking charges.

  • No refunds will be provided for same-day cancellations or no-shows.


9. Dispute Resolution

  • In case of any disagreement or dispute, both parties agree to attempt amicable resolution first.

  • If unresolved, the matter will fall under the jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana.


10. Modification of Terms

  • North Star Packers and Movers reserves the right to update or change these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.

  • Continued use of our services implies acceptance of the revised terms.
